According to an opinion poll conducted by TNS OBOP (Public Opinion Research Centre) ordered by the Institute of Renewable Energy, Poles are interested in using renewable energy technologies. Nearly half of the respondents are willing to invest in renewable energy installations.

On Tuesday, 11 June 2013 the President of Energy Regulatory Office (URE) approved new tariff rates for selling energy to network companies from ENEA, ENERGA and PGE groups. The President of URE emphasized that the energy suppliers accepted the arguments he presented for lowering the energy prices.

According to the statement issued by the Director of  the Institute of Renewable Energy (IEO), Janusz Pilitowski, the Institute has got 30 days for preparing of the economic analysis of renewable energy sources for the Ministry of Economy; this time limit, however, is to be counted from the date of signing of the agreement. It means that the Ministry will not receive the analysis by the end of June.

To briefly summarise this year’s Expower and Greenpower Fairs - it was a good business get-together of professionals. The exhibitors were satisfied with the number and quality of meetings held and with the opportunities provided to exchange expert opinions.

The main topic addressed during the meeting of the Interdepartmental Team for the Implementation of Energy Policy in Poland to 2030 related to priorities for energy strategy for Poland. The meeting of the team chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of Economy Janusz Piechociński, was held on 7 May 2013 in the Chancery of the Prime Minister office in Warsaw.
